don't you wish you were my penpal?
here is a letter i sent my long time pen-pal for his birthday....letters don't always have to be words.
it contains:
a bird skull
acorns i found in santa cruz
a piece of burlap that inspired me to make my last collection
a bottle of home made psychic dream oil that is made of : rose, mugwort and vanilla oils
a sticker from yaelfran on etsy. i love her drawings
a raccoon bone bead
a turquoise bead
a shell from California
a pin of a bee
my absolute favorite thing is sending letters. Christopher is the best pen pal i have ever had. we have been writing each other for i guess 9 or 10 years now. i have boxes of our letters. it is really hilarious to look back at letters from the beginning talking about silly middle school problems or to see the incredible art we created back then. i was so much more angsty back then, my art was better too lol.

Wow - that's a lot of writing!! Good for you though - with the invention of email, I didn't think anyone still wrote letters.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a fun "letter" for him to receive.
I have always wanted a pen pal. Ever since I was little, that is so neat!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I still love writing letters, way above email, text, facebook, blah, blah, blah! :0)
ReplyDeleteThis is too sweet. It's nice and earthy. I'm sure he'll love it!
ReplyDeleteYes. Mikaela rocks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun package this is!
ReplyDeleteI'm always happy when I see people who like writing letters the old-fashioned way as much as I do! :)
